About Existential Psychotherapy
Why Existential Psychotherapy?
Existential therapy helps you explore what gives your life depth, direction, and personal meaning. It offers space to reflect on the deeper questions that often lie beneath emotional distress, questions about identity, purpose, freedom, mortality, connection, and what it means to live authentically.

While many therapeutic approaches focus on symptom reduction or behavior modification, existential therapy invites a different kind of exploration, one that looks at your relationship with yourself, others, and the choices you face in the world. This modality can be especially helpful during times of transition, disconnection, or uncertainty, when the familiar ways of living no longer feel aligned, but the next step isn’t yet clear.

Some people come to existential therapy after years of treatment that never quite got to the heart of things. Despite their efforts, they may still feel stuck, lost, or misunderstood, not because of a lack of effort, but because the deeper questions driving their suffering haven’t yet been fully explored. Existential therapy creates space for that kind of inquiry: What am I truly longing for? What do I fear? What kind of life feels meaningful to me?

Clients are often drawn to this approach because they’re not just looking for quick fixes or surface-level strategies. They’re seeking clarity, depth, and a more honest relationship with themselves. In our work together, we’ll examine the emotional and existential roots of your distress, not to pathologize you, but to better understand your experiences. From that place of understanding, we can begin to clarify what matters most to you, and how you want to live with greater freedom, integrity, and intention.
In Our Sessions
Our work together is a thoughtful, collaborative process, an opportunity to slow down and reflect on your inner world with honesty and care. Rather than focusing solely on what feels broken or problematic, we’ll explore the broader landscape of your experience: your hopes and hesitations, the stories that shape you, the tensions you’re navigating, and the questions that quietly persist.
Sessions will create space for deeper inquiry. We’ll follow what feels significant in the moment, while also noticing the larger patterns that may be seeking your attention. Whether we’re sitting with uncertainty, revisiting old wounds, or clarifying what matters most to you now, our conversations will be grounded in genuine curiosity. Together, we’ll explore not only what’s been holding you back but also what’s calling you forward. This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out, just an openness to explore what unfolds.
